American Heart Association Woman of Impact Nominee
ABOUT THE WOMAN OF IMPACT CAMPAIGN
Woman of Impact nominees are change-makers, dedicated to making a lasting impact on the health of our community. Each year a select group of individuals are nominated to be a part of this initiative because of their passion and drive to make a difference. All nominees will bring together their own network to form an impact team, set a goal, raise funds, and have a direct impact on our community. At the culmination of this 8-9 week campaign, this special group of women will be celebrated for the overall impact they have on our mission and community. In addition, the woman who brings her network together to have the largest impact will be named the Northern New Jersey Woman of Impact Award Winner
Together, we can make an IMPACT!

What an honor to be a nominee for the NJ Woman of Impact! I was nominated because, since my heart attack in August 2018, I've had an unwavering commitment to live a healthy lifestyle and fight my heart disease.
In April 2018, I started Glamorous at Heart to share health & wellness information with women 50 and over, which included my posting actively on social media about my lifestyle changes. I was ecstatic when I learned the American Heart Association Northern NJ had been watching my health progress and felt I was making an IMPACT on awareness about heart disease. As time passes, more and more women respond to my posts; they ask questions and are constantly seeking education and lifestyle tips. I've come full circle in my desire to help women advocate for their own heart health and take better care of themselves!
The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Woman of Impact campaign runs from March 1 through April 30, 2021, and my personal campaign is focused on creating awareness and self-advocacy through EDUCATION. Check out the Heart Health videos!
This campaign is important to me because I know some of the millions of women affected by heart disease and stroke (you might too), and it matters to me to make a difference and do something about it!
Your donation may help bridge the gap in research funding for women's heart health.Or it may put scientific advances in doctors’ hands. Heart disease is the No.1 killer of women. When you donate, you are saving lives! I hope I can count on you to support my fundraising efforts and the great work of the American Heart Association! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
